Don Sardella
Consultant and Coach
Don Sardella has over 22 years of professional development experience. In 1987, Don founded the Institute for Leadership Development LLC, a leadership and management training company. His professional skills include effective leadership development for both the personal and corporate arenas, including dynamic programs for leaders to clearly define missions and values-based goals and utilize modern management skills. As a trained design engineer, his coaching process is very systematic and organized.
During 1995-2002, he served as an associate for Creative Management Group, Inc, where he helped hundreds of financial advisors increase their professionalism, productivity and profitability. He first focused on strengthening their value-added client services and then their marketing systems and went on to help them to produce a measurable improvement in their results.
According to his clients, the advisors increased annualized production an average of 28-42% over and above what they were on track to achieve. 50% of his clients doubled their business revenues within 2-3 years, if that was their goal. Clients included advisors from Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, UBS PaineWebber, A.G. Edwards & Sons, Oppenheimer & Company, Fahnestock & Company, ZION Investments, and Cowen & Company.
The Institute for Leadership Development also focuses on developing service leaders and has worked with State Farm Insurance, Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation, ACTION – Vista Volunteer Program, Ciba Geigy Corporation, New York University Continuing Education Division, to name a few.

He constantly seeks to improve his skills by continuing his education in human resources and peak performance and has participated extensively with the Dale Carnegie's Center of Excellence, the Institute for Executive Development, Franklin Covey's Curricula, Robbins Research International, Zig Ziglar Corporation, Landmark Education Corporation, Coach University (Certified Coach U Graduate), International Coaching Federation (Professional Certified Coach), SmartMatch Alliances Certification Training and Toastmasters International (Advanced Gold Toastmaster). Don holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and has completed graduate courses in engineering and finance from Northeastern University. Don currently lives in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and is a family man with his beloved wife, Iris and their four precious children, Sandra, Anthony, Sarah and Matthew.
